Hi Jammers- it's me again.
Something has caught my attention that I thought I might post about. It's Jamaa Derby. In case you are unaware, Jamaa Derby is one of the many fantastic games in Animal Jam. Here is what it looks like:
(Sorry for the blue around the edges.)
In the game, horses race each other by jumping over obstacles such as water, hay, and even flower beds! If you are a member, you can play as your horse. But don't think for a moment that this game is just for members. Non-members can play too! If you a a non-member, or a member without a horse, you a given a horse to race with. They horse is either brown or buckskin (cream), without a pattern or any clothes. Though the horses may seem dull, I think it is an amazing improvement for AJHQ to let non-members in on all the fun of the Derby. I thought I would put that out there because it seems to me that not many non-members are taking advantage of this awesome game. Maybe they think that you need a horse to play and don't even bother trying.
None the less, Jamaa Derby is a fun and easy way to earn gems. Maybe even too easy. I have noticed that some horses are taking an awfully long time to finish. It seems like they are missing EVERY jump and not using ANY of the three boasts. Yes, some Jammers simply leave the computer on Jamaa Derby and go to other things. This needs to stop, for two reasons.
#1: This is unfair for the other players! While somebody is out not giving a thought about the game, the other horses are left standing behind the finish line, doing there little pony dance and becoming EXTREMELY bored of doing, well nothing.
#2:It is bad for the environment! Having the computer on for no reason is just a huge waste.
Though I am against this, I do see the other side of the argument. In jamaa derby you do not have to prove that you are there. You get paid a fair amount too. But I do think people should be a little more considerate. If you want to earn gems while doing nothing, try a one person game. Or try long shot. I know, you do have to click at the beginning, but hey, if you get a good throw it can last for a LLLLLLOOOOOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNGGGGGGGG time.
What do you think about playing games while you are not there? (If that made any sense.)
Comment about! I would love to here your opinion.
Ta Ta for now,
